The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) on Wednesday said the Israeli attacks against the Palestinian people reveal the Israeli and the U.S. intentions towards the Palestinians.

Hamas' spokesman Fawzi Barhoom said that "They also show the fake face of the Americans and the Israeli occupation which always claimed that the problem was at the Palestinian side."

He was referring to the Israeli air strikes in Gaza Strip which were carried out earlier this morning and killed five fighters from Hamas in addition to two Palestinians who were killed late on Tuesday.

"The world still watches the Palestinian people in the besieged and destroyed Gaza Strip... the International and Arab stances support this occupation," Barhoom added.

Hamas took over Gaza Strip by force in last June and routed security forces of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas of Fatah.
