Nine Finnish tourists were killed and over 30 others injured when the bus they were traveling in crashed near Spain's southern coastal resort town of Benalmadena Saturday, Spanish emergency services said.

The accident occurred at around 8:00 p.m. local time (1800 GMT) when another vehicle trying to overtake the bus rammed into its side and shoved it off the highway, causing it to capsize.

The police has arrested the driver of the perpetrating vehicle for alleged drunken driving.

The Finnish tourists were said to be on the way to Malaga airport to head home Saturday when the tragedy happened.
