Argentine president meets Austrian chancellor on trade, relations |

Argentine President Cristina Fernandez Friday met with Austrian Chancellor Alfred Gusenbauer who is on an official visit to promote trade and ties with the South American country.
Fernandez expressed a warm welcome to Gusenbauer and his trade delegation, saying the visit would benefit Austrian investment in Argentina.
Sustained economic growth and qualified human resources in Argentina created a good environment for foreign investment, said the president.
Gusenbauer hailed the "excellent relations" between Argentina and Austria, saying a major trade agreement between Austria and Argentina would be "especially satisfying."
Both Fernandez and Gusenbauer will attend the 5th Latin American and Caribbean-European Union Summit (ALC-EU) on May 16-17in Peru's capital Lima.
The summit will gather leaders of over 40 countries in Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean region. Combating poverty and climate change will top the agenda. Source: Xinhua
