A task force formed to work out the procedure, working list and agenda for Nepali first Constituent Assembly (CA) meeting is scheduled to begin its work from Saturday.
A meeting of the task force is due to take place at the Ministry of Peace and Reconstruction Saturday evening, member of the task force CP Mainali said.
Apart from the CA meeting, the task force is also responsible for recommending the names of 26 distinguished persons as the CA members to the government.
A meeting of the ruling Seven-Party Alliance (SPA) Friday reached an understanding to call the first CA meeting by the last week of May, for which the task force comprising the leaders of the ruling parties has been formed.
The first SPA meeting after the historical CA polls held in Kathmandu on Friday also proposed Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala to convene the first CA meeting within 25-28 of May.
As per the constitutional provision the first CA meeting should be convened within 21 days after the announcement of the complete CA polls result.
The Election Commission had submitted the final list of CA members elected under direct and proportional electoral system to the Prime Minister on Thursday.
