Zimbabwe's opposition MDC-T Secretary-General Tendai Biti, who is facing many charges including treason, has been released from jail on bail, the state-run The Herald newspaper reported on Friday.
Justice Ben Hlatshwayo granted Biti bail coupled with stringent conditions in a court order issued on Thursday.
He said the full text of his judgment would be made available in due course.
Biti was ordered to reside at his house in Glen Lorne until his case is finalized. He was ordered to report to Harare Central Police Station twice a week and not to interfere with investigations, according to the report.
Biti was arrested two weeks ago at the Harare International Airport soon after his arrival from South Africa, facing charges arising from a document entitled "The Transition Strategy" which he allegedly authored on March 25.
Zimbabwe held presidential run-off Friday, despite the official withdrawal of MDC-T's candidate Morgan Tsvangirai on Tuesday.
Tsvangirai is taking refuge in the Dutch embassy in Zimbabwe, saying his safety is under threat.
Tsvangirai referred his pullout mainly to violence and intimidation against his supporters. But the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission said his withdrawal is too late to be of legal effect.
Tsvangirai received 47.9 percent of the votes in the first round of presidential election held on March 29, followed by President Robert Mugabe's 43.2 percent.
An outright winner needs to obtain an absolute majority of the votes, otherwise a run-off needs to be held, according to Zimbabwe's law.
