Home Minister Krishna Prasad Sitaula has said that he would present detailed information in parliament shortly about all the property inherited by Nepali King Gyanendra from late King Birendra, Queen Aishwarya and their family following the Narayanhity massacre of June 2001, The Kathmandu Post reported on Wednesday.
Speaking at a meeting of the State Affairs Committee of the interim parliament on Tuesday, Sitaula said there is a huge amount of fixed and liquid assets inherited by King Gyanendra from late King Birendra and his family, and these have to be brought under the trust.
"I will collect detailed information about such property from across the country and produce it at the committee before the start of clause-wise discussions on the Bill," he said.
According to the daily, the government had introduced the Nepal Trust Bill in accordance with constitutional provisions with a view to making legal arrangements for establishing a trust in the name of the late King Birendra, Queen Aishwarya and their family.
