Afghan police have captured five Taliban insurgents in Afghan central province of Wardak, a press release of Interior Ministry said Sunday.

These people were captured Saturday when they attempted to carry out subversive activities in a village of Chak district, the press release said.

All of the captured men are local Taliban militants, it added.

The Taliban has yet to make comment.
