Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf Thursday denied allegations that the military was involved in the killing of opposition leader Benazir Bhutto.

He told a news conference that he had asked British investigators to help probe into Bhutto's death.

Opposition leader and former Prime Minister Bhutto was killed in a suicide bombing attack as she left a rally in the city of Rawalpindi on December 27, 2007.

Musharraf said he was "not fully satisfied" with the investigation, adding that uncertainty remained over the exact cause of Bhutto's death.

The president also said he did not believe government or intelligence agencies tried to hide "secrets" after Bhutto's murder.
