An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale jolted Banda Aceh, the capital of Indonesia's Aceh province, at 3:01 a.m. on Sunday.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located at 6.11 degrees north latitude and 93.49 degrees east longitude, the Antara news agency quoted Gian, an official of the Meteorology and Geophysics office (BMG) as saying.
The earthquake took place in a depth of 10 km under the sea level.
