Seven Canadian soldiers were injured in two separate roadside bomb explosions Wednesday night in southern Afghanistan, Canadian Television (CTV) reported Thursday.
Both incidents took place during a patrol in the Panjwaii district, about 35 km southwest of Kandahar.
Most of the soldiers suffered minor injuries. Six of them have been released from hospital, the CTV said.
The incidents followed the death of a Canadian soldier Tuesday in a roadside bomb attack.
Canada has 2,500 soldiers based in the southern Afghan city of Kandahar. Seventy-seven soldiers and one diplomat have been killed since Canada sent troops to Afghanistan in 2002.
