The police of Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi claimed that they had arrested a would-be suicide bomber and four other suspected terrorists, News Network International news agency reported on Saturday.
Addressing a news conference on Saturday, Inspector General of Sindh Athar Farooqi said that the police also recovered a large quantity of explosives, arms and ammunitions from their possession.
He said that accused Muhammad Ijaz had prepared explosive-laden vehicles and the accused had prepared a plan to attack different military installations.
Two pistols, 30 bullets and other dangerous materials including poison were also recovered from the culprits. Athar Farooqi said the accused had a plan to create panic during the Muharram mourners' processions. Source:Xinhua
