Ways to enhance trade and economic relations will dominate the agenda of Russian Prime Minister Victor Zubkov's visit to India from Tuesday, sources said.
During Zubkov's two-day official visit, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Zubkov will hold wide-ranging talks discussing ways to increase two-way trade and economic ties and cooperation in various other fields, according to the Press Trust of India Monday.
After the talks, the two sides are expected to sign five agreements, including one each on aviation and telecom sectors.
The telecom agreement will involve 5 billion dollar investment by Russian conglomerate Sistene over the next three years.
During the visit, the two sides will focus on ways to raise the bilateral trade volume to 10 billion U.S. dollars by 2010. The bilateral trade has already increased to 5 billion dollars from 1.7 billion dollars two years back.
"If the tempo is maintained, we will achieve the target of 10 billion dollars by 2010," a Russian official said while expressing optimism on the business ties between the two countries, the report said. Source: Xinhua
