New Zealand South Island's Fiordland and the West Coast were shaken by an earthquake measuring 5.0 on Richter Scale on Friday, but caused no damages, the GNS Science said.
The tremor struck the area at 06:32 p.m. local time (0532 GMT). It was centered 60 km north west of the Milford Sound and was 5 kmdeep.
The quake was likely to have been felt by people in the Fiordland and southern West Coast regions, GNS said. Source:Xinhua
