Earthquakes with magnitudes of 5.2 and 5.0 jolted Sumatra Island, Indonesia on Wednesday morning, no report of damage or casualty, the meteorology agency said here.
The 5.2 quake hit at 6:45 Jakarta time (2345 GMT Tuesday with epicenters at 118 kilometers southwest Mukomuko town of Bengkulu province and at 13 kilometers in depth, an official of the agency said.
About one hour later, an aftershock of 5.0 Richter scale shoot the province with epicenter at 141 kilometers southwest the town and at 38 kilometers in depth, the official said.
Indonesia is laid at a vulnerable zone so called "the Pacific Ring of Fire" where two continental plates meet causing frequent volcanic movements.
