Afghan President Hamid Karzai Thursday condemned the suicide car bomb attack that left six civilians dead and 35 others injured in Afghan capital Kabul.

"The enemies of the people of Afghanistan are behind carrying out such coward terrorist attacks to harm the innocent civilians," the Afghan leader said in a message released by his office.

President Karzai who is currently in Dakar, the capital of Senegal, to attend the 11th summit of the Organization of Islamic Conference, also termed the attacks as against Islam and humanity and called on the Islamic world to play its role in containing terrorist outfits.

The suicide car bomb attack targeting a convoy of the U.S.-led Coalition forces near the Kabul International Airport on Thursday killed six civilians and wounded over 35 others including four foreign soldiers.
