A man offered his home, car, job and friends on line Tuesday after splitting from his wife in an effort to "start over."

Ian Usher, 44, a British immigrant to Australia, decided to sell everything he owns to the highest bidder on eBay.

The successful bidder will even get a two-week trial in Usher's job at a rug shop in Perth, Western Australia. The sunshine and beach lifestyle will be thrown in for free.

"On the day it's all sold and settled, I intend to walk out of my front door with my wallet in one pocket and my passport in the other, nothing else at all," Usher says on his Web site.

Ushe was born in Darlington, brought up in northeast England and emigrated to Australia from Scarborough in 2001 with his wife Laura after a varied career that included hiring jet skis, selling cars and training up young workers for British Rail.

The 100-day countdown to the auction, which will begin on 22 June and continue for seven days, began on Friday when Usher's website went live. Potential buyers can get a preview of his life on a website, www.alife4sale.com, which contains blogs and videos detailing what is on offer.

Usher says his airy open-plan house, in sunny Wellard, a 30-minute train ride from Perth, is worth at least 400,000 Australian dollars(about 368,000 U.S. dollars), so he hopes to collect at least 500,000 Australian dollars (460,000 U.S. dollars) to fund the next phase of his life.
