Moderate quake hits eastern Indonesia |

An earthquake with magnitude of 5.3 rocked eastern parts of Indonesia on Wednesday with no report of damages or casualties, meteorology agency said here.
The quake struck at 10:16 Jakarta time (0316 GMT) with epicenter at 285 km northwest of Saumlaki of Maluku province and at 242 km in depth, an official of the agency said.
Indonesia is laid at a vulnerable zone called "the Pacific Ringof Fire" where two continental plates meet, causing frequent volcanic movements.
