Nepali Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala held discussions with Indian ambassador to Nepal Shiv Shankar Mukherjee here on Monday morning.

The meeting, which was held in the run-up to the meeting of top leaders of the ruling seven parties, discussed on the preparations being made for the April 10 Constituent Assembly (CA) and Indian government's assistance, among other issues.

During the meeting, Koirala urged Mukherjee to beef up security along the Nepal-India borders to avert possible criminal activities.
