Vietnam and Serbia will soon ink economic and investment framework agreements, local newspaper Saigon Liberation reported Tuesday.

During the talks between Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem and visiting Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic on Monday, the two sides said the future agreements will create legal frameworks for expanding trade and investment between the two countries.

They also agreed to expand regular political exchange and strengthen coordination in regional and international issues for peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

Regarding Kosovo issue, Khiem affirmed Vietnam's standpoint that concerned parties resolve differences through dialogue and negotiation on the basis of abiding by the United Nations Security Council's Resolution No. 1244.
