Four soldiers injured in bomb explosion in S Thailand |

Four soldiers were injured when insurgents detonated a bomb to ambush them on a road in Thailand's southern border province of Pattani Thursday morning.
The explosion occurred at 10 a.m. (0300 GMT) on the Yabi -- Yarang Road in Nong Chik district, said the website of The Nation's newspaper.
The four soldiers were patrolling the road in a personnel vehicle along with four other soldiers on two motorcycles.
The insurgents detonated the bomb with a wired detonator.
The soldiers on the motorcycles escaped uninjured and exchange gunfire with the insurgents for about 10 minutes.
Thailand's three southernmost provinces -- Pattani, Narathiwat and Yala have been troubled with insurgency-related violence which has claimed more than 3.000 people's lives since 2004.
