Two earthquakes with magnitude of 5.7 and 5.3 respectively rocked eastern parts of Indonesia on Saturday, but no report of damages or casualties, the country's meteorology agency said here.
The 5.7 magnitude quake struck at 09:23 Jakarta time (0223GMT) with epicenter at 85 kilometers southwest Ternate of North Maluku province and at 21 kilometers in depth, an official of the agency said.
About one hour earlier, another quake jolted Saumlaki town of Maluku province with epicenter 161 kilometers southwest of the town and at 10 kilometers in depth, the official said.
