Three people were killed and six others injured as a train hit a truck in Bangladesh's Mymensingh district, 120 km north of capital Dhaka, Sunday morning.

Police was quoted by private news agency UNB as saying when a goods-laden truck got into the rail track, a Dhaka-bound commuter train hit it, killing two people on the truck on the spot at about8 a.m.

Among the injured, another young man died at a local hospital.

The six other injured people were taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for treatment.
