Kim Jong Il, leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), inspected a unit of the Korean People's Army (KPA), the official Rodong Sinmun newspaper said Friday.
Kim inspected the command of KPA Combined Unit 337, accompanied by a number of senior officers, said the daily, an organ of the Worker's Party of Korea.
It was Kim's sixth inspection of the KPA within 10 days in April, and the April 11 edition of the daily devoted the whole front page to the inspection, with a banner photo of Kim, officers and soldiers.
Kim urged the KPA to develop into "invincible revolutionary armed forces," said the report.
Praising the good relations between the army and the people, he said it was the source of the country's invincibility and would guarantee the victory against the enemy one after another, it added.
Meanwhile, the official news agency KCNA reported that Kim encouraged soldiers to "become heroes in the sacred battle to defend the country" when inspecting an artillery company. Source:Xinhua
