A leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) said Sunday his party's ministers in the federal cabinet will not meet or travel with President Pervez Musharraf.
Talking to a private TV channel Sunday, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that the PML-N did not accept Musharraf as a constitutional and legal president of the country because he had come through force.
"We are not willing to enter into any kind of working relationship with Pervez Musharraf," he said.
Khan said that the people of the country had given mandate to the PML-N, and the party's elected members would utilize all their energies for the development of country and welfare of its people, adding that they were ready to render any kind of sacrifice for strengthening and promoting democratic institutions.
The PML-N leader said that they had no lust for power but had joined the government in the lager interest of democracy, adding that they would not compromise on the principles and would stick to their principled stance.
Khan said that the people had given confidence in the PML-N leadership and the party would not disappoint them but would consult the workers before taking any big decision.
He said that workers were the assets of the party and they would be given respect in and outside the party.
