Japanese congressmen's visit to the war-related Yasukuni Shrine was nothing but undisguised agitation for aggression, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea's official news agency KCNA said Thursday.
More than 60 Japanese congressmen visited the shrine Tuesday.
Long been regarded as a symbol of Japanese militarism, the Yasukuni Shrine honors more than 2 million Japanese war dead along with 14 class-A war criminals, who were responsible for the most atrocious crimes during Japan's aggression against its Asian neighbors during WWII.
"Whether the Japanese politicians visit the shrine or not serves as a touchstone judging whether Japan has a will to go for peace, breaking with the militarist past, or go for militarist reinvasion," the KCNA said.
Such visits will rekindle militarist fever in Japan, it said.
