An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale struck the West Coast of New Zealand's South Island Friday morning, causing no casualties or damage, the GNS Science said.
The GNS Science said the quake hit at 07:00 a.m. local time (1900 GMT, Thursday), about 60 km south of Hokitika and at a depth of about 2 km.
The quake was probably felt through much of the West Coast, GNSScience said. Source: Xinhua
