Polls conducted by different media show that the approval rating for Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda's Cabinet has plunged to new lows.
According to an opinion poll conducted by Kyodo News on Thursday and Friday, the support rate for Fukuda's cabinet went down to 19.8 percent, the lowest level since the Cabinet of Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori in 2000-2001.
Meanwhile, the Asahi Shimbun newspaper reported Friday that the approval rating read 20 percent, the lowest level since Fukuda's administration came to power last September, while the Nikkei survey showed the index stood at a record low of 21 percent. Source:Xinhua
