A landslide buried a mining camp in Indonesia's easternmost Papua province Tuesday, killing at least six people as 12 others were reportedly missing, Metro TV reported.

The accident occurred at the remote Timika district, where U.S. mining giant Freeport-McMoran Copper and Gold Inc. runs a huge plant.

But it remains unclear if the victims are Freeport employees.
