The Royal Thai Army Tuesday donated nine tons of food and medicine to Myanmar for the relief of cyclone victims in the country's disaster-hit regions, the state radio reported Tuesday.

Laden with the relief goods, an aircraft of the Royal Thai Army arrived at Yangon Tuesday afternoon and the relief supplies were transferred by four Myanmar military aircraft to such cyclone-hit areas as Mawlamyinegyun, Laputta, Phyapon and Bogalay in Ayeyawaddy division, the report said.

The Thai aid is the first batch for the Myanmar cyclone victims, the report added.
