Nepali Election Commission to release names of candidates elected under PR system |

Nepal's Election Commission (EC) is all set to make public the name list of 335 candidates elected to the Constituent Assembly (CA) under the proportional representation (PR) system on Thursday.
EC officials Wednesday said they were in the final stage of work on the list of PR candidates submitted by the parties and that the names would be declared through a news conference on Thursday.
A total of 25 parties had submitted their final PR lists to the EC last Friday, reported the local media house's website nepalnews.com.
As per constitutional provisions, the CA meeting will convene within 21 days from the day when final results are announced. Apart from setting the date for the first CA meeting, the cabinet will nominate 26 CA members from different sections of the society.
