At least 29 people were killed and 15 more injured as the bus they were traveling in dived into a river in Peru, police said Wednesday.

The bus was heading to the city of Yauyos, 140 km southeast of Lima, as it skid off the road and plunged into the Canete river.

Four passengers survived the accident and the cause of crash is still under investigation, police said.
