A senior official of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) vowed Tuesday to boost bilateral relations with Iran while meeting with the Iranian ambassador to the country, the official news agency KCNA said.
Jon Yong Jin, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries and vice-chairman of the DPRK-Iran Friendship Association, said the DPRK will make positive efforts to boost bilateral relations with Iran, the KCNA reported.
Morteza Moradian, Iranian ambassador to the DPRK, said that friendly relations between the two countries have been further developing under the care of the two countries' leaders.
Iran and the DPRK "always stand together on the anti-imperialist front," said Moradian, adding that his country extends full support to the Korean people in the efforts to build a great, prosperous and powerful nation and achieve the reunification of the country, the KCNA said.
