Iranian Guardian Council delegation to visit Pakistan

A six-member delegation from Guardian Council of Islamic Republic of Iran will visit Pakistan from May 16 to 20, official Associated Press of Pakistan reported Wednesday.

The delegation, led by Ayatullah Ahmad Janati, head of the Guardian Council, will arrive here at the invitation of the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) to discuss contemporary challenges faced by Muslim Ummah.

The delegation will call on Chairman of Senate of Pakistan, Speaker of National Assembly, Chief Justice of Supreme Court and Federal Shariat Court. The delegation will also visit Allama Iqbaltomb to pay homage to the poet of the East.

The Guardian Council of Islamic Republic of Iran is a powerful body with vast legislative and executive jurisdictions.
