A roadside bombing against foreign troops' convoy in Afghanistan's eastern Khost province wounded two children Saturday morning, a local police spokesman Wazir Badshah said.
"It was around 8 a.m. local time when a bomb planted by militants exploded to target military convoy of the U.S.-led coalition forces and injured two school children," Badshah told Xinhua.
There were no casualties on the troops, he further said.
It is the second bomb attack in Afghanistan in a singe day. The first explosion took place when a mine ripped through a bicycle earlier Saturday, killing one person and wounding another, both civilians, in southern Kandahar province.
Clashes and Taliban-related violence have left around 500 civilians dead in the first four months this year in Afghanistan, according to Afghan officials. Source:Xinhua
