The Nepali government is set to introduce new guidelines for the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected Constituent Assembly (CA) members.

A cabinet meeting held Thursday afternoon in Kathmandu is going to promulgate the oath of office to be administered to the CA members.

The earlier cabinet meeting held on May 4 had decided to prepare the draft of guidelines on the agreement of the ruling seven parties.

The newly elected CA members are scheduled to take the oath on May 27, one day before the first CA meeting.

Thursday's meeting will chiefly discuss the preparations for the CA meeting and other regular agendas, Minister Hisila Yami said.
