Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo will receive Swaziland King Mswati III in the Malacacang presidential palace Monday, who arrived in Manila Sunday for a two-day state visit.
The presidential palace said in a statement the king will receive honors from the Presidential Security Group upon his arrival in Malacanang, will sign the Palace Guest Book and have a state banquet in his honor.
The red Swaziland flag depicting a black wooden shield and an arrow has been flying along the main streets of Manila and the Ayala Bridge leading to the Malacanang since last weekend.
Arroyo and King Mswati III will also sign agreements on economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation, said the statement.
This is the first visit to the Philippines of the King of Swaziland, who flew into Manila Sunday afternoon from Cebu, central Philippines, after a private visit to the second largest Filipino city.
The Malacanang meeting of the two leaders will also pave the way for the establishment of the Bilateral Consultation Mechanism between the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines and the Swazi Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, said the statement.
Swazi Queen Inkhosikati Lankhambule, the King's 13th wife, will be given a tour of the Palace Museum, said the statement.
From Malacanang, the king and his entourage will motor to Marikina City in the northern suburb of Manila where he will receive the key to the city from Marikina Mayor Maria Lourdes Fernando, then tour the University of the Philippines.
Accompanying the Royal Couple are the King's 23rd daughter, Princess Buhlebetive, and the Kings brother Prince Lonkhokhela, and sister, Princess Msindvose, said the statement.
The King's delegation also includes Chief Maphokela Shabalala of the Swazi Royal Court, and Swaziland Foreign Minister Moses Mathendele Dlamini.
