A meeting of top leaders of Nepali ruling Seven Party Alliance is underway in the capital Kathmandu on Wednesday.

The meeting is scheduled to finalize the procedures for the Constituent Assembly (CA) sitting and decide the nominations of 26members to the CA.

Likewise, the CA meeting's procedures is learnt to have been taking long to being drafted due to differences over the amendment to the interim constitution.

The first CA meeting is due to kick off at the Birendra International Convention Center in the capital Wednesday noon.

A number of CA members have already reached at the assembly venue since the first sitting was scheduled for 11:00 local time (0515 GMT).

The interim parliament in January had decided that the first meeting of the Constituent Assembly will implement republic.
