One person was killed and 10 others injured when rival groups opened fires on each other in a property dispute in Pakistan's North West Frontier Province (NWFP) on Tuesday.

Some land in NWFP was leased out to one called Abdul Aziz for 30 years, and on expiry was leased to another one named Abdul Rehman for the year 2008 to 2009, official Associated Press of Pakistan reported.

When the new tenant Abdul Rehman and his group went to take possession of the land, he was resisted by the former tenant AbdulAziz and his party. A fight started between the two groups which led to exchange of fires.

As a result, one was killed and 10 others injured who were shifted to hospitals for treatment. The police have registered the case and arrested some people involved in the exchange of fires.
