A moderate earthquake with magnitude of 5.3 rocked Java Island on Thursday, no report of damage or casualty, according to Indonesian meteorology agency.
The quake struck at 12:19 Jakarta time (0519 GMT) with epicenter at 154 km southwest Lumajang town of East Java province and at 30 km in depth, an official of the agency said.
Indonesia sits on a vulnerable quake hit zone called "the Pacific Ring of Fire" where two continental plates meet that cause frequent volcanic movements.
