Earthquake jolts Java, Indonesia |

An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Ritcher scale rocked Java Island of Indonesia on Thursday evening, but no report of damage or casualty, meteorology agency said here.
The quake struck at 17:48 Jakarta time (1048 GMT) with the epicenter at 275 kilometers southwest East java province and at 10kilometers in depth, an official of the agency said.
Indonesia is laid at a vulnerable zone so called "the Pacific Ring of Fire" where two continental plates meet that cause frequent volcanic movements. Source: Xinhua
