Four top leaders of Communist parties of India Sunday received death threats by mail for opposing the India-U.S. civil nuclear deal, according to the news reports of NDTV Sunday evening

Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPM) leaders Prakash Karat and Sitaram Yechury and Communist Party of India (CPI) leaders A. Bardhan and D. Raja got identical copies of the letter in English.

"May god bless this country to eliminate these ------ by any means. People are fed up with you. Enough is enough," reads the letter.

It accused the left leaders of "hijacking the national interests."

Alleging that the Left had blocked economic reforms and foreign direct investment, it warned that the Karat and his party would not get even 15 parliament seats in any future election.
