A van with 11 people onboard plunged into a river in Indonesia's Riau province Thursday, leaving fine passengers dead and one missing.

Police said the Suzuki APV van hit a hillside before it went uncontrollably into a 10-meter deep river in Kampar regency, reported leading news website Detikcom.

The cause of the accident remains unknown, but police suspected driver’s error, it said.
