The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) will strengthen its friendly relations with the Republic of Burundi, the DPRK's top legislator said Monday.

Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, sent a greeting message to Pierre Nkurunziza, president of Burundi, on the 46th anniversary of its independence.

In the message, Kim expressed the hope that the friendly relations between the two countries will grow stronger in the future.
