One person was killed and seven others injured in an explosion in southwestern Pakistan's Balochistan province on Friday, local TV channel DAWN NEWS reported.
The explosion occurred at Mannan Chowk in Quetta, capital of Balochistan province, said the report.
Witnesses said a bomb was attached to a motorcycle and parked outside a bank on Jinnah Road at the market.
Police said at least one person was killed and seven others injured in the explosion. The injured have been shifted to local hospital.
However, some local TV channels said one minor girl was killed and ten others including five policemen suffered injuries.
The police blocked the area and bomb disposal squad was called to examine the explosives.
No group claimed responsibility for the blast.
A group called Baloch nationalists are demanding more rights and they sometimes launch attacks, most of which targeted security forces and government installations, in Balochistan province. Source:Xinhua
