Armed militants fighting with the Afghan government force gunned down two women police in Afghanistan's south-central Ghazni province, spokesman of provincial administration Ismael Jihangir said on Sunday.
"The enemies of the people of Afghanistan brutally shot dead two women police in Ghazni city the capital of Ghazni province Saturday," Jihangir told Xinhua.
He added that these women had worked for the criminal investigation department of provincial police but did not give more details.
He put the attack on the enemies of Afghanistan a term used against Taliban insurgents.
In another security development, unknown armed men kidnapped Abdul Wali a member of Afghanistan's Mushrano Jirga or Upper House of parliament in Logar province Sunday.
"Abdul Wali along with his two guards were in Charkh district this morning when armed men after disarming his bodyguards took him away to unknown locations," interior ministry spokesman Zamarai Bashari.
No one has claimed responsibility for it.
