A roadside bomb planted by insurgents struck a military vehicle of the U.S.-led Coalition forces in Afghanistan's eastern Khost province Monday wounding a soldier, a local official said.
"It was 4 a.m. (2330 GMT) when a military convoy of the Coalition forces was passing Tanai district and a vehicle ran over a mine planted by Taliban rebels as a result the vehicle was damaged and one of its occupants received injuries," Mohammad Gulzad, the governor of Tanai district, told Xinhua.
He did not give more details.
However, the Coalition forces' officials were not immediately available to make comment.
