The Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) (CPN-M) has called a meeting of all 25 political parties in the Constituent Assembly (CA) on Sunday to discuss the contemporary political situation and the formation of the new government.
The CPN-M Chairman Prachanda called on the meeting after holding discussions with party's central secretariat members on Saturday.
The meeting would discuss the formation of the new government, the CPN-M's leadership and other contemporary issues, local newspaper quoted the CPN-M spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara Mahara on Sunday.
Earlier, with its presidential candidate Ram Raja Prasad Singh being defeated by Dr. Ram Baran Yadav who was backed by the alliance of Nepali Congress (NC), the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN-UML) and Madhesi People's Rights Forum (MPRF), the CPN-M had claimed that it had no moral authority to form the next government.
Even so, the CPN-M has initiated fresh political consultations, hinting at the possibility of joining the government. Source:Xinhua
