A pavilion of a temple in Thailand's central Chon Buri Province collapsed on Thursday afternoon, injuring more than 50 students who were visiting the temple, local radio reported.

More than 400 senior high students, organized by a nearby school, were visiting the temple in Chon Buri's Muang district while one of its pavilions collapsed.

A witness told the Traffic Radio FM 100 by telephone that the collapse was caused by the sinking of the groundsill.

The witness said at least six of the injured students were in critical situation.
