Two people were injured in an explosion in southern Pakistan's port city Karachi on Saturday, local TV channel reported.

The explosion occurred on Shara-e-Faisal road of Karachi as a remote-controlled device planted on a bicycle went off, Dawn TV quoted sources as saying.

TV footage showed that several vehicles have been damaged, with shattered glass on the ground. The police have cordoned off the explosion site after the attack.

No one claimed responsibility for the blast.

Earlier on Saturday, a blast killed about 20 in northwestern Pakistan's Swat valley when a suicide bomber rammed a explosive-laden car into a police station.
