The government of Afghanistan has blamed the enemies of Afghans for the murder of Japanese aid worker and strongly condemned it on Thursday.
"The enemies of Afghans by murdering an international aid worker wants to disrupt the reconstruction process and block Afghanistan's move towards prosperity," a statement released by President Hamid Karzai's office Thursday said.
In the statement, the Afghan leader, besides expressing sympathy and condolence with the family of the victim, stressed that "such heinous crimes won't affect international commitment towards supporting Afghanistan."
The bullet-riddled body of Japanese aid worker, Kazuya Ito, 31,who was abducted Tuesday, was found on Wednesday in Khiwa districtof eastern Nangarhar province.
Afghan Foreign Ministry also in a statement blamed terrorists for abduction and brutal murder of the Japanese aid worker and strongly denounced it.
The Afghan foreign ministry in the statement emphasized that the "brutal murder of the aid worker indicates that terrorists arenot a threat to Afghanistan but to the whole region and the world."
Taliban purported spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid later Tuesday claimed the responsibility of adducting the ill-fated Japanese aid worker and said he and his local interpreter were killed in Khiwa district during the clash between Afghan security forces and Taliban fighters.
Taliban militants apparently as change of tactic have focused their gun towards aid workers as they killed three female aid workers of the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in the southern Logar province, 60km away from Kabul, in 13th this month.
